Well I thought it was gonna be cut short to me not winning as I thought it wasn't a track that was gonna make me pass but in the end I succeded. I would like to thank @ChronoNomad for the extra hour which really did help me with finalizing my work.
A shame though that @jimmypig couldn't move to the next round. I was honestly scared to be honest because he's really good at what he does. You all should check him out sometime. Here's a track made by @jimmypig and it's the best;
Other than that I think you should also check out some of @LunacyEcho work too. He was a good match up as well. Here's a track from him;
Well the round up is coming up and I've got a lot of work to do especially now that I'm up against some seriously competition once again. All again wishing the best of luck to everyone still competeing in the NGADM Contest! And a good luck to my competition @steelside you can check some of his work out too in fact here's one of my favorites;
So I just found out that I made it into the 2nd round of this years Deathmatch contest and I'm now amongst the 64 other artists who will compete for 1st place this year. I realize we have some really good artists on here which also not only are good but also inspired me a lot on making music like @F-777 and @5tanley who I have huge respect for and I wish them the best of luck as well for this years contest. Though I am excited about having passed the auditions I am now nervous about the 2nd round. I still don't know what to do but I have to figure something out. I have to give it my all in any way I can. I hope I got something by deadline. This could really be an opportunity for me and I can't just throw it all away. Wish me luck everyone!
So I've noticed it's been a while I've posted something new on here. I've been busy with work and college so finding time can be difficult but fear not my lovelies, I will be back in June with more tracks and this time were going to bring the beat down a bit focusing on mostly;
These will be the experimenting genre's for the next 6 months of 2017 and will try to bring back a bit of the retro stuff when I hit Chillstep and Synthwave.
Hope to see you all around June again!
Yeah I know what all of you are going to say. "Make more music", "Where's the tunes", "Are you a girl"?
Yes, yes, and well yes. I'm gonna start making music again and of course working on it but I'm focusing again on the Art Inspired Music Contest. Last time I made it to the album which was pretty good but this year I've been brushing up on new genres to make. Psytrance, Chillstep, and House music are the 3 music genres I hope to focus on this upcoming summer. I have already had experience making original trance melodies so psytrance shouldn't be hard. Hope I make it runner up this time at the very least.
In other news, I had already shown my new computer but now it's time to create the workstation for it. These 2 weeks I'm gonna be building the whole entire workstation setup for everything. This will be my control center, my Death Star, my Gundam Suit, my Transformer. I'll have a new song up this weekend for a chillstep test.
So last time I mentioned that I was building a new computer for the sake of rebirth and replenish ANNNnnnddd to finish up my music. Apparently I ended up spending a little more cash than I thought my budget went for. Had everything but had to wait for the cooling system, HDD, and the Thermal paste needed to apply on the CPU. I did have some troubleshoot runs where my motherboard wasn't excepting my Windows 8 key code but in the end triumph came and Windows 8.1 got me the update I needed to activate my OS. Now, with everything built and set up for gaming, streaming, video editing, and music I had one final thing; to transfer my FL Studio folders and files. Unfortunately bad news came in the most unexpected way. After trying to transfer All of my files to my new Seagate 1TB HDD the files got corrupted. What does this mean? Simply put; I lost FL Studio 11...
Hold up! I thought that I could instead just bring the HDD from my old computer to the new one but turns out it's denied its way into the system. It shows the HDD ready and synced BUT it can not register because Windows 8.1 is already installed on the other HDD and I can't have two different OS running on the same computer. So lately I've been having to wait for my friend to bring his copy of FL Studio 11 to run and install back up on the new rig. Other than that this PC rocks!
First off this image wasn't doing what it's supposed to do which is flip it to the right but I quess Newgrounds knows best. Second off this is the first PC I've ever got to building and it was one hell of a trip. $600 and it runs like a V12 engine. So for interests and the curious mind heres what it's running on;
- AMD FX-8350 Octa-Core Black Edition
- MSI 970 Gaming Aura Motherboard w/ Audio Boost II and Killer 2200 Networking, SLI compatible
- Kingston HyperX Fury (2x4Gb) DDR4 * Upgrading Soon*
- Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 ITX Mini 3Gb VRAM w/ VR Ready
- Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD 7200RPM at 6Gbs ( Upgraded to 10Gbs)
- Antec Supercharged 650w Liquid Cooling System
- Thermaltake 600W Bronze 80+ Power Supply ( Also Upgrading )
- 5 120mm Fans ( 2 Thermaltakes + 2 Corsair LED Purple + Liquid Cooling Antec Fan )
Of course the fun doesn't stop there. I'm going to upgrade with the following later on;
- Kingston HyperX Fury (2x4Gb) DDR4 = 16Gb
- Thermaltake Triple Fan Radiator for Liquid Cooling Upgrade
- Thermaltake 700W RGB Power Supply
- Samsung 250Gb Solid State Drive
- Seagate Barracuda 5TB HDD 7200RPM
- Thermaltake 120mm RGB Fans Triple Pack
Now this is all too much of course but It's what gonna allow me to crank this puppy all the way to 5.0Ghz of CPU power. Might have to stablize a safe way to conduct Liquid Nitrogen into the bay of the motherboard and some CPU coverage to skyrocket to 6.3 Ghz Overclocked but that will have to wait. Other than that let's go for the better news.
The new improved webpage for my music has already been made and is still under development to give the community a better experience. Check it out at https://misakokatsumi635.wixsite.com/retroevolution
As for the music part I should still be able to make music since I still have my recovery HDD from my old computer so I'll just have to use that one for the time being but in all good hands should be able to make it in time for the Art Inspired Music Contest and for this time around I'm going to have to go with an artist who's work I've loved for many years now. @ErrorCell is an amazing artist bringing a series of time bending art with a background story to it. Check him out for some of the latest work hes done, it's pretty cool.
So guys that's it for news. More stuff will come around as soon as I fix this FL corrupt files. Check out some of my latest uploads and I'll see you real soon.
So it's been a while since I've focused on my back in the day work with trance and techno being a huge thing but now it seems like it died out a bit. I'm coming up with a new song this weekend and hopefully a new improved song in the makings of the similar Photon soundtrack I made a while back. Also check out my latest upload.
So I've realized it's been a long time since I've been on here. Now that really does suck that I wasn't able to stick around and give you guys more of Techs great work but don't be so dissapointed. Now I've heard that we are going to have some good things coming to newgrounds starting January, which I'm pretty excited about Pixel Day. Last time I wasn't able to reach a high standard but this time I'm gonna make something that blows everyone's mind. I've been listening to a lot of chiptune music and I have to say that I am ready to use what I learned and listened to to take my song to the next level. Now we are still a bit far but I'm sure this is a great opportunity to get things going.
Now of course with making better music it would mean connecting with Newgrounds a little bit more than I do. I want to make sure that I can get some regular visits on here to see what people that I'm following are doing today theses days. This should also help me connect with more artists and learn more from their music as well.
Now Techmo is a good name and by all means does sound good but I'm deciding on changing it starting today.....okay maybe tomorrow cuz I'm tired. Either way it'll be a good name so no worries..
that will be all my fellow Newgrounders. Until next time.
Well it took long but it's good to be back. I've been so busy and going through ups and downs that I forgot I have people to entertain. I've been currently going through some therapy and I need time to myself but I'm feeling better and I can finally come back to make some music again. I have up, I have a few little compositions on here for you all but I am working on an even bigger project called Xenomorph. I will be releasing soon next weekend. Enjoy the sweet tunes and a new song coming tomorrow, here on Newgrounds.com Enjoy!
So I realize that you realize that Newgrounds realize I haven't put another song up yet. Now I can explain. See I just moved out and most of my stuff hasn't even been set up yet. I'm using a friends computer to write this right now! Ridiculous I know I know but hold on a bit I got some stuff for showing soon enough. Stick around longer, it's worth it!
Hello there my lovlies and welcome back to Newgrounds! Yeah that was for me. I've been a bit off here of course as always trying to find time to make music is hard but I manage with working everyday and finding some time to get done with things and even make some new plays on Newgrounds that you might just be interested in. So without further to do let's get to the main sources of this news post.
First off I never got the chance to but I would like to thank @RealFaction and @TaintedLogic for rating my song "Spectrum" during the A.I.M. Music Constest and to congratulate everyones participation in it. I was happy to have made it to the Album with many other wonderful artists some of which I'm following/friends with like @larrynachos who makes some insane rock/ metal music that you just have to listen to. It's like murder music well lol when I hear it at least I think of like gods and vikings fighting each other in some really epic battle and theres thunder and theres you know all that cool stuff boys like :P Here's @larrynachos upload for A.I.M.
Going on of course it's time for a new release and I can't keep you guys waiting on it. I'm bringing another song to define the old days of video game hype with "Dreamcast" a chillstep song with a nice even flow for everyone to enjoy. Check it out via the link below;
Now going to the next subject, let's talk about style and how I make music and blah blah blah haha! So I've noticed that I've been addicted to Chiptune and 8-Bit for some time now and I think I need to switch it up a bit with a new electronic style of music. Don't worry I won't change things completely. I'll be using samples I make as I'm finishing up songs and producing other stuff alike. I play this game called "Cytus" an extremely fun yet difficult game to play depending on how well coordinated you are with your eyes. Requires some large amounts of focus but fun and challenging. Here's a link to it if your interested below. Game is available for both Android and IOS;
Trust me this game^ is just CRAZY AWESOME!!!
Anyways continuing many of the songs that are featured in the game fall under the wide variety of Electronic music in categories of Techno, Trance, Dubstep, Chiptune, Rave, Spectrum, Drums & Bass, and Electric Trance/Rave/Techno which is sort of like Gapo music but we don't talk about Gapo.........the horrors Xs
So I'll be trying some really heavy stuff out for the time being and when I have my first upload up you can give me an opinion on what you think. So yeah there's that.
[What's That Art]
So I love a lot of the Art material that goes around Newgrounds of course and it doesn't matter what it is *Yes I've been there before too. Guilty as charged) So I wanted to share one of my favorite Art Portal Submitters work which I just fell in love the first time I saw his art. @ErrorCell makes some amazing art pieces that is sure to always please the crowd. He mixes art with a storyline that only a few can understand. Bringing scenario after scenario into a timeline of astonishing backgrounds, Azure, a boy and his companion Alex travel throughout the desolate world trying to reach their ultimate goal. A more brief description;
SideTrip is a graphic novel project I began just about a couple months ago. It's about everything and nothing at the same time, which is as abstract as the story can get. The story follows two characters: Azure and his friend Alex, the God of Hiding and the two visit various places in the insane world collecting secrets, particles, and pretty much anything that they need to reach their ultimate goal.
Here's some of his amazing work;
And my all time favorite
Check @ErrorCell out though one of the links above!
Now for the last and final thing I should mention. Now I want to start running a Sweepstakes or some sort of contest but not sure when and how. I'm still doing some research on that but it should be big. If anything I should mention it it's for Audio Artists Only. Not saying I hate you Art goers and Movie Makers but I like music and I like hearing it. Something maybe like the person that makes and amazing song gets a $100 gift card or try to see about a prize pool sort of thing but I'd have to check up with admins on here. If I can't on Newgrounds I'll go for Youtube since this winter I want to start putting up my music on there. I don't know I think it would be fun for everyone. I'll let you know more one I've figured it all out. So that's it for the time being but yeah I'll keep on producing if you guys keep on listening and vice versa. Until next time!
